Studio sketches

Choose Make it yours beside a sketch on the Dr. Tape website to open its editable project in the studio. Press Play sketch to listen, then change a sound, edit the notes or add a part.

When to use it

A sketch gives you something to explore before starting with an empty song. The website preview uses the same instruments and notes as the project. The first two sketches use built-in synthesis, so you do not need to download a sample library.

Tips

• If unsaved work is recovered when the studio opens, it stays open. Save it before choosing Open sketch to replace it.
• Save your version as a new project file. Changes you make do not change the original website sketch.
• Playback starts when you press Play in the studio. It does not start on its own when you follow the link.
